Client Description:

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with at least 5 years of experience with practical AWS expertise to join in building large-scale cloud-based data processing systems


Responsibilities:


This role involves enhancing infrastructure, optimizing existing solutions, and supporting engineering teams with the development of new features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain the web application that provides visibility to our data management platform.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams in Poland, the US, and Canada to support software development efforts.
  • Integrate data and existing capabilities from GenAI and RAG teams to enhance internal chatbots for improved usability and data discovery.
  • Rapid prototyping and iteration to foster innovation and drive faster solution development.
  • Actively contribute to the open-source community.
  • Tackle software engineering challenges in bioinformatics.



Candidate Profile:


  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering for enterprise-level projects/products.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Experience in product development using Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficient in cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and hands-on experience with AWS (S3, IAM, EC2, ECR, ECS, AWS Lambda, Serverless).

Backend:

  • Java (Spring, Hibernate/JPA), Microservices, AWS, Docker, SQL/NoSQL, REST APIs, GitOps

Frontend:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular/React, HTML5, Web Components, Redux/NgRx

Nice to have:

  • Strong understanding of the HTTP protocol (status codes, headers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with RabbitMQ or other message brokers.
  • Basic understanding of OAuth 2.0 and distributed system architecture.
  • Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, regression tests).
  • Familiarity with Spock (Groovy DSL).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB databases.
